BNCC knows the importance of the firefighters in our community. When an opportunity presents itself to let fire fighters use a building that is scheduled for demolition for training, we are delighted to help. By using old building for practice, it allows firefighters to practice life saving techniques in a safe environment. This hands-on training is invaluable. BNCC is happy to be help.
CENTRAL PIERCE FIRE & RESCUE
Before Chester Thompson Elementary School was demolished, Central Pierce & Rescue was able to utilize the building for firefighter training. Central Pierce Fire & Rescue were grateful for the opportunity and BNCC was happy to be able to give them the chance to practice.
STEILACOOM FIRE DEPARTMENT TRAINING
On June 08, 2006, the local Steilacoom Fire Department got an opportunity that doesn't come very often. They were able to practice fire fighting and life saving techniques on a building that wasn't on fire. Since the old Steilacoom apartments were scheduled to be demolished on June 09, 2006, it gave the Fire Department a extraordinary chance for fire fighters to practice fire and rescue skills on a non-burning building.
Fire Fighters practiced venting the roof, venting ceilings, and creating escape passages for rescue. BNCC was happy to be able to help the community by letting the Fire Department use the old building for training.
