| This
modernization and addition included a new roof overbuild, new
gymnasium/locker room, and complete renovation of the entire campus.
The school remained occupied by students and staff during construction.
As with most renovations, BNCC came across unexpected conditions,
however never lost site of the goal and completed the project
on schedule. A member of the school district noted that BSD got
"a significant band for the taxpayers buck".
This
project consisted of the reconfiguration and modernization of
the existing 78,000 SF facility to include new technology infrastructure,
seismic and fire/life/safety upgrades. Work also included a
new roof overbuild and re-roofing of the entire facility. A
new 250 seat performing arts center was also constructed along
with a new band room and adjacent theater support facilities.
The school has interactive white boards (Smart Boards) and LCD
projectors in every instructional space.
