This
new elementary school was coordinated with the design of the
new Spanaway junior high school. Both projects were being done
while the campus was still being used as a school facility,
with kids in attendance. Chester Thompson was a State
LEED certified project. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design ) emphasizes state of the art strategies for sustainable
site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials
selection and indoor environmental quality. The project came
in within budget and as scheduled for completion.
