BNCC was excited to be awarded this project in our community. This brand new two story, 106,500-square foot school is designed to handle 850 students from grades 6-8 and will replace the present middle school in Steilacoom, built in 1916.

Pioneer Middle School design follows the new Washington Sustainable Schools Protocol, with many sustainable, high performance strategies, such as maximizing natural light and using a high percentage of recycled construction materials. In addition, the school will also be the primary food prep kitchen for the district.
