Babbit
Neuman Construction Company was founded on May 05, 1999
by Scott Babbit and Rick Neuman. After twenty years in
the commercial construction industry they designed a company
to build projects in a certain way. They teamed their
expertise with an outstanding group of individuals whose knowledge
and integrity matched their own. BNCC's expertise is concrete
and wood framed projects, with a focus on commercial buildings
and institutional work (schools, security facilities, etc.).
Fast-tract
schedules have become common place. Project sizes have ranged
from 6,000 square feet to 210,000 square feet; new, renovation,
multi-phased, single or multi-level Public Works and/or negotiated
projects. Rick & Scott both develop and maintain strong,
positive relationships with owner representatives, project architects
and design teams, city officials and labor crews.
Principal
of Babbit Neuman - Rick Neuman. Rick oversees total
field operations, working daily with project superintendents,
owners, design professionals and contract trades. His over twenty
eight years of experience in the commercial building construction
industry have taken him from a union carpenter, to lead project
superintendent, to owner. Prior to starting Babbit Neuman, Rick
acted as the primary superintendent for a major N.W Washington
contractor. His projects produced over $100 million in
sales over a twelve year period. Rick has excelled in project
pre-planning, working with team members, organization, scheduling,
safety, maximizing labor productivity, cost savings and owner/
designer/ subcontractor relationships. His career expertise
is in many types of commercial buildings, including concrete
structures, concrete tilt ups, structural steel, wood frame

Principal
of Babbit Neuman - Scott Babbit. Scott oversees the
office staff including accounting,
estimating, project management, office operations, and procedures.
He has over twenty eight years of commercial construction experience
and brings the highest level of expertise for operations management,
contract administration, and timely positive problem solving.
Scott periodically performs constructability reviews and cost
engineering with several outside firms as a consultant.
Prior
to starting BNCC, Inc, Scott began his career by graduating
from the University of Washington with Honors. Then, while working
in the commercial construction and development fields, he later
obtained a degree in finance. Scott then went on to become
Sr. Vice President of Operations for a major N.W. Washington
Contractor. His direct project involvement for the thirteen
years of service resulted in over $300 million in sales. His
career success is attributed to developing strong relationships
with the customers, supporting and building a team effort for
his employees, and the implementation of innovation technology.

BNCC,
Inc. employs experienced superintendents, each of whom has completed
at least one 5 to 12 million dollar job while in our employment.
They handle the day to day operations of the projects, working
tightly with our office staff and field engineers.
The
office staff is composed of highly knowledgeable individuals
who have worked in the main offices of diverse construction
companies for years before coming to Babbit Neuman.*
Babbit
Neuman adheres to very strict accounting practices for all of
our accounting systems, maintaining prudent accounting checks
and balances. Each month we produce financial statements,
updating our Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Work in Progress
Report, and supplementing with a cash position statement, monthly
billing report, and discounts/interest earned statements. We have utilized Timberline software systems since our conception.
Ms.
Dwan Bowen, our Chief Financial Officer, produces the
financial reports, which are then issued to our surety and banking
institution. Tueffers, Guckian & Gamon, CPA's specialize
in construction accounting. They review our financial
statements annually. We take great care in tracking and
understanding our financial reports and position. Safeco
Surety works with our firm, providing bonding support as requested.
We currently have an aggregate bonding capacity as high as $78
million dollars.
